SERVICE TERMS & CONDITIONS

(Applies to all diagnostic and repair work)

1. Trip Fee (Non-Refundable)

A $35 trip/diagnostic fee is required for every service appointment. The trip fee paid at booking covers travel and diagnostic preparation. Trip fee is non-refundable regardless of repair approval, and will be forfeited in the event of a same-day cancellation or no-show.  

2. Parts Deposit (Non-Refundable Once Parts Are Ordered)

If parts are required, a deposit equal to the cost of parts must be paid before ordering.
Once parts are purchased, the deposit is non-refundable, even if the repair is canceled.

3. Cancellation & No-Show Policy

If the customer is not present at the scheduled appointment time, the appointment is considered a no-show.
The trip fee is non-refundable. Rescheduling requires a new trip fee. If repairs are canceled after parts are ordered, the parts deposit is forfeited.

4. Payment Terms

Payment of the remaining balance is due immediately upon completion of the repair.
Accepted payment methods: cash, debit/credit card, or approved digital payments.

5. Non-Payment Clause

If the customer fails or refuses to pay at completion:

• Chris The Car Doc LLC may charge any authorized payment method,

• refuse future services,

• assess administrative fees, and

• pursue all legal remedies, including small-claims court.

The customer is responsible for all costs associated with collection, including court fees and collection agency fees.

6. Collections Consent

a) Unpaid balances may be sent to a third-party collection agency. b)Additional fees may be added by the agency. c) Unpaid debts may be reported to credit bureaus.

7. Warranty Information

Parts warranty is provided by the part manufacturer, not by Chris The Car Doc LLC.
Labor warranty is 30 days, unless otherwise noted.
No warranty is provided for customer-supplied parts.

8. Customer Responsibilities

The customer must provide accurate information, ensure access to the vehicle, and approve or decline repairs promptly. The customer must be present at the end of the service to review the repair and complete payment.

9. Authorization Acknowledgment

By signing the Repair Estimate & Work Authorization form, the customer acknowledges receipt of this document and agrees to all terms.

Limited Labor Warranty

Chris The Car Doc LLC guarantees the quality of our labor for 90 days from the date of service.
If a repair we performed is found to be defective due to workmanship within this period, we will correct the issue at no additional labor charge.

This warranty does not cover:

• Parts (which are covered separately by the manufacturer, if applicable)

• Normal wear and tear

• Issues caused by misuse, neglect, accidents, or unrelated mechanical problems

• Customer-supplied parts

• Diagnostics, inspections, or trip fees

All warranty claims must be brought directly to Chris The Car Doc LLC for evaluation before any additional repairs are performed elsewhere. 

Failure to do so voids this warranty.
